Jana Sweeps Jerry's Springer Break
Shows
When Jerry Springer went
to Negril, Jamaica to film his Springer Break shows for
Spring Break 2002 at Hedonism II, he booked five
separate local bands with the intention of having each
band perform on one of his five shows formatted for live
performances.
First up was the sexy,
Jamaican J-Lo, Jana Bent, all the rage in Jamaica with a
hit song, "You So Fine" featuring Herbie Harris
enjoying international airplay through it's slot on
three Promo Only Rhythm Radio compilation CDs.
After her show, Jerry and his producers took a quick
executive decision, that contracts notwithstanding, they
were cutting all other bands from the remaining four
shows, and Jana was asked to stay on for all five shows.
"We all couldn't
believe this girl was Jamaican and that her music was
recorded and produced
right here in Jamaica, it sounded so international and
both her presence on the stage and her music were
irresistible, we had to cancel all the other bands have
her do them all five shows. And oh yeah,
she's gotta be on next year!", bubbled Jessica Say, part
of the Jerry Springer team who had the task of selecting
the bands
